Chisago Results - 8/11/08
Adam Wilson continued his climb up the standings this weekend. He methodically drop-shotted his way to 19.88 lbs and the win on Chisago. Jim Nordlund maintains his lead in the AOY race by finishing in third. Download the updated 2008 Stat Sheet.

Whitefish Weekend Results - 7/14/08
The club spent the weekend in the Brainerd area, fishing Whitefish on Saturday and Gull on Sunday. The club has experienced more than it's share of wind in the last 2 seasons, and this weekend was no exception. Winds were fierce on both days as a major front moved in, and the bite may have suffered some because of it. But Sunrise is a gritty bunch and persevered; Wayne & Adam and Nick & Ron won the Whitefish and Gull events, respectively.
The race for Angler of the Year and the 2009 State Team is heating up. 3.5 lbs is all that separates 7th place from 1st place, and there are some Big Weight lakes coming up. The biggest movers after this weekend are Ryan Dickey moving from 10th to 3rd place, and Joe Anderson moving from 11th to 5th place. Adam Wilson, who despite missing Rush Lake moved to 9th place, and is still in the hunt.

Beaver Dam Results - 6/2/08
The 2nd Annual Tom Pearson Memorial tournament was held on Beaver Dam Lake near Cumberland, WI on Saturday. What could have been a bed-fishing bonanza was altered somewhat by the cooler temperatures and wind. Teams had to work a little bit harder to find their fish this day. The team of Russ Cooper and Jim Nordlund (pictured) narrowly beat out Tom Stanton and Eric Wilson for top honors. The top three were as follows.
- 1st - Jim Nordlund & Russ Cooper 5 fish / 15.59lbs
- 2nd - Tom Stanton & Eric Wilson 5 fish / 15.16 lbs
- 3rd - Tom Harkman & Adam Wilson 5 fish / 12.15 lbs

UPDATE - Beaver Dam Partners Set - 5/9/08
Due to some unforseen logistic problems, Beaver Dam will be our first tournament on May 31st, and Loon chain will be in August. No dates have changed only the order of which lakes we visit.
Sunrise Bassmasters increased it's numbers by 3 last night. Welcome Sean, Jason, and John, we are glad to have you!

Next Club Meeting - Sunday April 27th, 6PM - 3/24/08
This will be the last "business" meeting before we start fishing! Sunday April 27th, 6:00PM at JJ's in North Branch.

- Meet and Greet for those interested in becoming members for 2008 to the Club.
- Club will Vote on accepting those interested individuals.
- Draw partners for the Loon Chain Tournament on May 31st.
- Bring a check for Dues.
